Composed and recorded an original soundtrack for a short film titled ‘Til Death Do Us Part’, using a combination of live instruments, digital instruments, modular synthesis and audio processing techniques. Accompanying the story of a woman moving on from an abusive boyfriend via inadvertently drastic means, the soundtrack murmurs forebodingly before being interrupted by the decisive action of the woman’s neighbour, the staccato piano syncing up with the determined strikes of her knife against the chopping board. After crumbling into chaos, the soundtrack echoes the peaceful hope the woman and her neighbour find in each other in the aftermath.
Excerpts from the soundtrack can be heard below:
(Note: the above track was not the final track used, but an earlier demonstration draft. It has been selected over the final product as it shows a broader range of style.)
